Collinston- Lois Beverly Parr Dipo passed away June 15, 2010 peacefully after a long battle with the lung disease Sarcoidosis. She was born February 12, 1944 in Hayward, CA to James MacDonald Parr and Ilene Manson Davis. She was raised in Houston, TX and Magna, UT where she graduated from Cyprus High School. She married Rodger G. Olson December 31, 1960. They were later divorced. She married Richard L. Dipo July 21, 1967. They were later divorced but remained friends until the end.
Beverly was a nurse by profession and worked for Logan Regional Hospital for 25 years where she had many dear friends and associates. She loved taking care of her patients and always said it was one of her greatest satisfactions. She also enjoyed traveling, camping, reading, arts & crafts, scrapbooking and watching NASCAR on TV. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends, especially if there was a good game of Pinochle to be had. She also enjoyed going to the movies with her best friend Pat.
She is survived by her loving and dear sister Bonnie (Kirk) Foy; a niece and three nephews - her “racing buddies”; her three wonderful children: John H. Olson, Lindsey D (Melissa) Dipo and Amy D (Elden) Rose and her three amazing grandchildren Shelby and Travis Rose and Janine Olson and two great grandchildren: Isaac and Kasia Yarbrough. They were the light of her life. Her beloved Dog Misty will always be with her.
At Beverly’s request following cremation her cremated remains will be scattered. There will be a celebration of Beverly’s life where friends may greet the family Monday, June 21, 2010 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, UT. In lieu of flowers family request donations in Beverly’s name to the American Lung Association.
